The closing ceremony "Bless The Future," for the 8th National University Games was launched this Thursday evening in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega.

Guangdong, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Beijing were the top five of the events. As the host of the Games, Guangdong ranked first of the events with a total team scores of 2020, getting 59 gold medals, 61 silver and 33 bronze.

The 8th National University Games (Guangzhou) is the largest since the first event held in Beijing in 1982. There were 16, 000 citizens to enroll as volunteers. More than 6,000 students from around the country participated and 225 games were held during the competition.

The following 9th event will be shouldered by Tianjin city in mid-China in 2012.
